Biography

Dr. Addison St. John is a junior medical physician and a part time clinical tutor at the University of the West Indies, Cavehill Campus, Barbados, where he received his MBBS training.  He is currently employed as a Clinical Research Fellow on the Barbados Pilot of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Global Standardized Hypertension Treatment Project, which aims to improve the delivery of various aspects of primary care for hypertension patients. Dr. St. John plans to specialize in Internal Medicine, but has a keen interest in learning about the treatment and management of chronic non-communicable diseases as well as about improving primary health care systems and hopes to gain more knowledge in this area as a participant of the PH-LEADER Program.
